About Me
My Tarot journey started early in my life on my maternal side. As a child, I can remember my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother reading Tarot as I sat at their knee. My great-grandmother actually read Tarot to help pay her way through college and become an English professor.
My Tarot Journey
My journey recently started again into the world of Tarot. Retiring several years ago from a demanding job as an administrator in public education, I found myself back in my hometown, taking care of elderly parents and becoming reacquainted with old friends. With lots of downtime on my hands (something I haven’t had in years), I found myself picking up a deck of Tarot cards, checking in with myself, and reading informally for family and friends.
I’ve was shocked at how the cards felt alive in my hands as I refamiliarized myself with them. The readings that I did for family and friends were uncannily accurate. It was clear that this old family tie was alive and pouring out of me. I began to feel like all of my relatives were buzzing around me, pushing me forward. Finding this old connection seems somehow very important, right now, in this stressful part of my life.
And now, I’ve gone totally off the tracks, followed my heart and intuition back into the world of Tarot. It is bringing me such joy and energy! In retirement, I find myself drifting back to a place that is letting my soul shine! However, being the educator that I am and having all the time in the world during COVID, I went on to do some formalized learning to tie all the pieces together through a Biddy Tarot program. I am now one of their Certified Tarot Readers.
